A place where I used to get some good UFO information has turned into a fake headlines generating rag. The Examiner.com used to post factual, interesting UFO articles. They have since very deliberately switched to quantity vs quality. They are now posting any fake hoax UFO videos they can get their hands on. It is absolute garbage and I refuse to visit their site any more.
It is difficult enough to get real UFO information to be taken seriously and sites like Examiner.com posting hoaxes as real events are further damaging any credibility.
Join me in boycotting reading all articles from Examiner.com. Don't be a part of them posting obvious hoaxes as news just to increase their ratings. They are the worst kind of slime.

I read the Examiner.com every day and I believe they do a good job of reporting the news. It is the responsibility of the reader to determine the credibility of any story, no matter the source. Larry King reported the Stan Romanak story. In the end, it serves no one to censor news. Reporting MUFON filings and Chinese news is a service to the public.

It is the responsibility of the editor for taking a few seconds out of their day to determine a hoax that even the most untrained eye can spot. Examiner has been running daily stories of topics like 5 mile spaceships flying over highly populated towns that, literally, any moron can tell is a complete hoax. Or others of a PLANE BEING SWALLOWED UP BY A UFO. Yes, they ran that story not too long ago. Examiner runs these stories without discretion and ruined any credibility they may have had.
ReplyDeleteI will not read 50 hoax stories just to get to 1 that may be based on some fact. Examiner is clearly doing this to increase readership. If I could use an analogy, this is like the San Jose Mercury News becoming People magazine. MUFON and Chinese sightings is news. 5 mile wide motherships and planes being eaten by UFO's "captured on video" that are some of the worst hoaxes yet have become commonplace on Examiner and is purposely deceiving the public to increase readership.
